MAGIC · What you earn, and how

Real work earns MAGIC.

Your computer earns MAGIC when it does real work for someone: when Feya sends it an AI request and it answers. During the beta, AI requests are free.

You earn

MAGIC, for real work your computer does

MAGIC shows in your balance within seconds of the work being checked. Longer answers and faster computers earn more.

For work, not waiting

Being online earns nothing on its own

A computer that is on but not answering requests earns nothing. How much you earn depends on how many people use Feya, and on some days that may be nothing.

Shared work

Shared work is shared pay

When a large model is split across several computers, the coordinating computer gets 5% of the request’s reward and the other 95% is divided by how much of the model each computer held. A computer we can’t confirm took part isn’t paid until we can.

Checked

We check the work

Feya pays only for requests it sent, pays each request once, and caps how much work one request can claim.

How is my work counted?

Each answer produces a receipt: model, tokens and time, signed with an Ed25519 key that never leaves your device. The coordinator checks the signature and credits MAGIC based on the tokens, the model file’s precision, your Mac’s speed and your device’s reliability rating. When a model is split across several Macs, the Mac that coordinates the split gets 5% of the request’s reward and the other 95% is divided by how much of the model each Mac held. A Mac we can’t confirm took part isn’t paid until we can.

What can I do with MAGIC?

AI requests are free during the beta. We’re still finalizing the full program terms, and will publish them before they take effect.
